I wanted the title of this post to read “Date Night ideas that won’t cost you a dime” but to be honest, even driving somewhere or having a cup of coffee at home costs us money at some point. So, you can be creative with these ideas and make them as cost efficient as possible. Some may cost you nothing up front, with what you have at home and others may require a ten for a bottle of wine, etc. Either way, hope you enjoy our top FIVE DATE NIGHT ideas on a BUDGET and have a wonderful Valentines Day!
1. Take a Drive to the Mountains
We love to hop in the car and drive 45 minutes until we hit a snowy patch. This can be a beautiful backdrop for a hike and hot cocoa, while the drive up and back can include a romantic playlist and intimate conversation. (Just remember to pack a thermos and wear your cozies!
2. Pack a Picnic and go somewhere scenic.
This is one of our favorites and can be as pretty and romantic as you’d like. You can pack up wine glasses and candles to set the mood.
3. Look up Free Concerts in your area.
There are often free plays, concerts or even artists at speak-easy’s who are offering free entertainment and music that you can enjoy together.
4. Netflix & Chill
This is a fun one that you can once again- elevate with some special touches like fresh flowers from your garden or pulling candles from your house into one room and “setting the mood” for a homemade dinner.
5. Hit Up Your Favorite Mall.
One of my IG followers suggested going to the Mall and doing a “try-on challenge” where you pick out clothes for one another and try them on. This is free and sounds like a lot of laughs.
Whatever you’re up to for Valentine’s Day this year, remember to take a few minutes and list off all the things you’re grateful for today and/or so far this year. Getting into the right mind-space for emotional holidays like this can make all the difference in your day!
